I recently took on a new role of leading diversity and inclusion and employee relations for All Children’s. I consider it an honor and privilege to serve in a position that not only advocates for all people but leads the way in providing and managing an inclusive environment that is welcoming and supportive to everyone.
There has always been a close link between these areas, so combing the two, creates what I believe to be a perfect combination.
Diversity and inclusion continues to be hot topics in talent management discussions. The changing workforce and population demographics are resulting in a shift. Diversity and inclusion is not just the “right thing to do,” it is increasingly becoming a business imperative.
We don’t consider it a separate process, but it is really about weaving and integrating it into our overall strategy and how we conduct normal business operations. When employees feel involved, valued and connected, diverse backgrounds can be leveraged to drive value and business results.
This is our beginning, but All Children’s is destined to become an industry leader in diversity and inclusion. Not only because it is becoming a business imperative, but it is really a part of our Culture and our DNA. I am extremely excited about this opportunity and welcome you to be a part of this journey.
